Rain has stopped for now. Expected to start again about 2am and continue for almost the entire day Saturday. Might bring some local flooding. There is standing water everywhere.
That thing is a kelp stalk. They start to smell rotten. When they are fresh from the water they are real limber and a little slimy. The ball on the end is full of air so the stalk will float.

ReplyDeleteNow I know. Went through a eucalyptus forest on the way to the beach. Smell was wonderful.
