Day started well. Rode through the Kern River Canyon on CA178. Huge, deep canyon that ran for miles. Crazy good motorcycle road. When I exited the canyon, the change in topography was striking. The hills and mountains look like Death Valley.
And the weather turned. Going to get very cold, dropping down to 25 Tuesday night. And the wind is very bad and forecast to continue through Wednesday. So, it looks like I am stuck here until Thursday morning. Finding a warm place to camp is like chasing unicorns.
