Armistice Day

The 11th day of the 11th month was originally Armistice Day, an observation of the complete failure of government to rule over men.

Now, the day is known as Veteran's Day, but the observation remains unchanged.

I woke up this morning to 33 degrees and crazy wind. It occurred to me that my understanding of New Mexico weather may need some tweeking.

The forecast for the coming week has highs in the 40's and 50's, with lows dipping into the 20's.

I think Monday will be laundry day, so a trip into Portales, a ride of about 5 miles. Can also stock up on a couple of food items and an opportunity to search out new places for tacos.
