Lake Livingston State Park

Arrived at Lake Livingston State Park, northwest of Beaumont, for a couple days. At 09:30, the heat is already building, predicted to reach 101, with humidity near 80%. Not great camping weather, but play the hand you get dealt.

Nice park. Lots of long leaf pines, water and shower houses.

The lake was formed by a dam on the Trinity river and covers about 83,000 acres.

The town of Livingston is pretty complete, has anything you might need. Very nice area. This is my first time in east Texas away from the coast. I like it!
