Planetary alignment is amazing. Reasonably certain I even saw Mercury, though briefly. It can be tough. Got up at 0430 to view. Started watching about 0500. The arc through the sky that the planets lined up on is called the ecliptic plain, sort of s celestial equator. That is the path the planets will always be seen to follow. If you didn't look, look!
