I Can't Believe I Get To Do This!

Having a motorcycle, on a perfect day like this, in Arkansas, is more than anyone has a right to expect. Pure gift, there is no other way to describe it. Headed west on AR62 to Yellville, where I picked up AR14 south. Beautiful road. Stopped at Spring Creek campground and watched the Buffalo River for a little while. I think this will be a great winter camping spot. Continued on 14 south to Harriet, where 14 turns east. Continued on to Alison, AR, where I picked up AR5 north, another great ride, which took me to Mountain Home. About a 130 mile of pure therapy. Find an excuse to get out and find your own "great ride", in whatever shape and form it comes. Time is short, don't think you will "do it tomorrow". We are never guaranteed a tomorrow. A couple of shots of the Buffalo at Spring Creek Campground.

A Great Day To Be In Arkansas

Perfect weather, great roads and a motorcycle. I can't ask for much more. That is life the way it was meant to be lived.                                                          Views from AR7, north of Jasper                                    And, south of Jasper, overlooking the Buffalo River valley.                                                               DR in the distance, being cool.

Around Norfork Lake

A perfect day for a hike in the woods. Fortunately, trails are abundant here. Gave me time to think about what I have to do to get ready for the autumn trip with DR. The time is getting close.

Getting Ready For Autumn!

New side case lid, side stand foot and new grips for DR. So, the hard stuff is done. Now, I just have to do an oil change, mount new tires and put in a clutch and we will be ready to roll come September. Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are on the agenda, then southwest to North Platte. Might make it into Utah from there, depends on the weather and when I will actually be able to leave Mountain Home. Beginning of September would be nice, but no guarantee.
